How does courier collection work for an iMac?
Once you accept your quote, we book a courier to your address on a day you choose - DPD or similar, fully tracked and insured at our expense. You just need the iMac boxed: the original box is ideal, but any sturdy box with generous padding works fine (our desktop packaging guide shows you exactly how in ten minutes, using things you already have at home).
From the moment the courier takes it, the risk is ours - that's the point of us paying for insured shipping rather than leaving it to you. The iMac reaches us next working day from most of the UK, we inspect it on arrival, and your bank transfer goes out within 24 hours of it passing. If we ever revise a quote and you decline, the courier brings it back to your door, free.
What decides your iMac's value
Generation is the biggest lever. The current 24-inch iMac M4 holds value best, with the M3 and the 2021 M1 behind it. We buy Apple Silicon iMacs only, so the 21.5-inch and 27-inch Intel models sit outside our window - they still have a used market, but not with us. After that it's memory, storage and screen condition. A cracked or marked display is the one fault that moves an iMac quote a lot, so mention any screen damage honestly in the form and you'll still get a fair, fixed price rather than a nasty surprise on arrival.

Should I include the keyboard and mouse?
If you have the original Apple Magic Keyboard and Mouse, yes - they add £20-£40 to what we pay, more for Touch ID keyboards. But they're optional: your iMac quote stands without them. Mention what you're including in the quote form message box so your price is exact.
How is a big desktop insured in transit?

- Find My / Activation Lock signed out (we cannot buy a locked Mac)
